We develop and maintain open source, MIT-licensed NuGet packages, providing the .NET developer community with strongly-typed, best-practice access to vendor APIs and other technologies.
You can see a recent summary here or the definitive list on NuGet.org (use search or page to find a particular package).
How does this benefit Panoramic Data?
While developing the library, we gain true insight into vendor data models and integration processes. This gives us a strong market differentiator in providing system integration services.
Only by understanding the value of your data can we bring value to the integration. Only by truly understanding your API can we understand how to access that data.
Because we are experts in how each API works, enterprises (and particularly Managed Service Providers), come to us for System Integration, custom software development and reporting services.
How does this benefit the vendor?
Reduced Churn. Increased Market Reach. Zero Cost.
When a .NET (Microsoft/Azure) ecosystem developer needs to integrate with an API, their first stop is NuGet.org. By partnering with Panoramic Data, you ensure your platform is “Enterprise Ready” without taxing your internal dev teams.
- Zero-Cost Model: We never require funding from vendors or fees from your customers.
- We do the work: We build the libraries using industry best practices.
- Increased Stickiness: It is significantly harder to displace a vendor once their data is deeply integrated into a customer’s automated workflows.
Why .NET? Why NuGet.org?
For small enterprises and Managed Service Providers, there’s “Click Ops”, whereby users access the value of your product via a user interface. This is great, but doesn’t scale. The world’s largest MSPs need to automate and integrate your data with provisioning, deprovisioning, datamarting, alerting and customer reporting.
For enterprise-grade development, Microsoft’s .NET” ecosystem offers strong typing, asynchronous API calls, retry strategies, dependency injection, logging, tracing, the C# development language and other benefits.
NuGet.org is the de facto standard for NuGet package publishing.
Partnership framework
We commit to:
- Maintain an “A” rating from Codacy on static code inspection
- Use best practices throughout (async, cancellation tokens, Options pattern)
- Support the latest version of .NET (currently .NET 10) within 2 months of release
- Engage with your API and product management teams
- Never require funding from vendors
- Never charge your customers to use the library
We ask vendors to:
- Provide API documentation
- Permit use of a sandbox for non-commercial use while we are actively maintaining the library
- Provide access to a public community to pose questions
We always appreciate, but do NOT require:
- Early access to new features
- A shout-out on your “Technology partners” page
- Invites to customer/community events
- Invitations to speak about your API (we promise to be nice!)
- Marketing merch!
