Creating a Meraki Device Lifecycle Report

Do you need to generate a simple customer report, showing which Meraki devices are approaching End of Service, and require replacement?  

Once defined, you can run the report on a schedule, so each network customer can keep on top of their budgeting process.

Customise the report, add your logo, change the style or static text – this becomes your report, not a standard one-size-fits-all.

Follow these 5 steps to get your first report:

1. Download the Template

The Template is a Word Format DOCX file.  Download and review it.

2. Edit and Submit

Open the DOCX file and make any adjustments that fit your style:

  • Add your own logo
  • Change the font
  • Alter any of the static text, eg to a different language or style

Do not change any of the auto-generated content, marked in the file.

Once complete – submit the file back to us using the form below:

3. Configure Connection

Before we can generate this report for you – you will need to create a MagicSuite tenant and configure a Meraki connection.  
To do this, simply sign-in using this link

To create the Meraki connection, you will need to generate a Read-Only Meraki API Key.

4. Let Panoramic Data work the Magic!

Once the connection is setup and working, we will provide the secret sauce:

  • Upload your ReportMagic template
  • Add the Macros
  • Initialise a report job schedule
  • Test and execute once
  • Result to be saved in output folder in ReportMagic
  • You will be notified once all this is complete, and receive a link to access the completed report

All this is normally done within 1 business day.

5. Congratulations! And next: define your Schedule

Congratulations!  You have your first automated report defined.
